Our February Spotlight feature focuses on local artist and founder of “Core Creations” Enda Moran.
In January, Enda ran a project called Snippets through Waterford Cultural Quarter’s Open Call initiative.
What is your background?
My work in the community as a teacher and facilitator is closely interwoven with my experience as a solo and collaborative performer. Through my work I continue to create and develop links between community and performing arts using immersive and alternative performance techniques.
Over the past 12 years through education and work experience I have gained a wealth of skills in various related disciplines. These include roles such as: Street Spectacle/Circus Tutor, Director, Dancer/Aerialist, Community Arts Facilitator, Dance Instructor, Set designer, Choreographer; Hatha Yoga Teacher & Surf instructor.
Most recently I have created a unique nationwide company ‘Core Creations’. The company is dedicated to education, creativity and wellness for all. Delivering workshops in Dance, Circus,Yoga and Surf.

What’s your favourite thing about WCQ?
I have worked on number of community arts project in Cultural Quarter since 2017. In this short space of time I have note the vibrant changes in the street and its inhabitants. There is a very welcoming approach. I have found that people are embracing change,diversity and inclusion of all community groups.
